Today, KCTU staged an all out struggle on the 27th demanding the immediate dismissal of President Yoon Suk-yeol. As the Constitutional Court’s decision has been delayed, about 100,000 union members stopped their work and gathered at 15 provinces across the country to protest.
Around 30,000 members from the capital region (Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon) initially assembled at Seoul Station, Myeongdong Station, and in front of the Seoul Employment and Labor Office before marching together to Gwanghwamun.
“We will fight with everything we have to prevent the nightmare of giving President Yoon justification for martial law and to stop the gates of hell from opening for workers. We cannot give Yoon a license to kill.”
”In this critical moment of crisis, let’s put everything on the line. Workers who have never turned away from the demands of the times and the people during Korea’s most difficult periods must step forward.”
